🍀🤓V okviru dneva Evropski dan jezikov, ki ga obeležujemo 26. septembra, smo prejeli povabilo s strani OŠ Cerklje ob Krki, katerega smo seveda z veseljem sprejeli. Povabili so namreč našo ESE prostovoljko iz Egipta, da učencem predstavi svojo državo. 🇪🇬 🤩
Spodaj so zapisani Barbrini vtisi današnjega dne ⬇️:
“Today, in Cerklje school, three different classes had a presentation about Egypt: literature, music, food, and tourist advice! The end of the presentation was to teach them how to write their names in the Arabic alphabet. Writing from right to left seems a strange idea to native Slovenes. However, schoolchildren in Cerklje could do it in less than one hour. The writing part was pretty challenging, but they could do it!
They also had many questions about Egyptian culture and common Egyptian words. Some students have already been to the Red Sea in Egypt and are willing to go again! It was really nice interacting with students in different classes and even discussing with them a culture that is new to them. As an international volunteer, those types of intercultural interactions are the best to learn more. As they: “He who knows one, knows none!”. It is critical to engage with other cultures to understand yours even better 😊”
